Irons transfer saga looks to have finally bitten the dust

|

The Jesse Lingard saga looks to have finally bitten the dust as far as the Irons are concerned with news today that he is frustrated Manchester United look to have stopped his Newcastle move.

Having seen his Manchester United return restricted to two short cameos off the bench it seems  the club are very reluctant to let him move on.

They continue to play hardball dispute the Geordies being willing to put up an impressive loan fee and The Telegraph  – usually a medium to be trusted in these matters – says  the player feels they are showing him a lack of respect after spending more than two decades at the club.

The paper claims that approaches from us and Spurs have been rejected as they see us very much as top four rivals.

The 29 year old fears that he will now be stuck at a club that obviously doesn’t want him and it has to be said that after such a decent loan spell with the Hammers last season one would have expected him to be here by now if indeed he was set to make a switch to the east end.

    Hooray!
This has taken up so much social media energy for no good purpose. We need a striker and left sided defenders not another midfielder!

He should have come at the end of the season and he wouldn’t be in this position, will be glad if it is all over for the window one way or another, allow us to focus on other targets.

Hopefully this means we can go and get Carvalho in as he looks a fine player in the making.

  • Trevor From England says:

Hmmm. I still think West Ham will sign him by 1st February
