Report: Hammers still interested in Championship defender

|

West Ham remain interested in a deal to sign Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest this month, according to The Athletic.

The defender has been linked with the club both this month and last summer.

But the Hammers appear to have maintained their interest in a deal to secure the centre-back ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.

We know that David Moyes needs to sign a new centre-back this month and is desperate to do so as we enter the final week of the window.

Worrall is 25 and is an experienced campaigner, having been with Forest since 2015.

He has made 22 appearances in the Championship thus far this season as the club make a push for promotion to the Premier League.

Worrall is also capable of playing as a left-back and has made a total of 160 appearances for the club, while he is valued at £3.6m by Transfermarkt.

If the deal is set at that kind of fee, we can see this one.Moderate Rater

I would like to think we buy players not because they are cheap but because they are better quality than we have already.
