Cresswell update

|

By Dave Langton

Aaron Cresswell is set to be fit to face Sevilla this week.

The left-back was substituted after sustaining an injury in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa at the weekend, leading to fears that he could miss the decisive second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 tie.

We have been told, however, that the substitution was made as a precaution and that Cresswell is likely to be in the team to take on the Spanish giants.

Cresswell has been central to our excellent form this season and will have the task of going up against either Munir or Anthony Martial down his flank on Thursday.

The Irons are 1-0 down in the tie and will need to stage a comeback to reach the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere, Nikola Vlasic has shaken off a knock and is also available for selection.

We reported this morning that Mikey Antonio remains a 50/50 shout for the game, so Vlasic may be drafted in to play up front in his stead.
