Report: Hammers eyeing new Serie A ace

|

West Ham are considering a swoop to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo, according to a new report from FCInterNews.

The Irons could well be on the lookout for at least one midfielder in the summer, with Mark Noble retiring and Alex Kral heading back to Spartak Moscow.

Frattesi has developed into a first-team player at Sassuolo this season, making 31 appearances and scoring four goals, while also laying on three assists.

The 22-year-old had gone out on loan to Ascoli, Empoli, and Monza but is now playing regularly for his club in Italy.

There is said to be considerable interest in his signature this summer, with AC Milan, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund all considering a potential move.

Frattessi is said to be keen on a potential move to Inter, so the Irons are not at the front of the queue for this one.

He also has a contract until 2026, meaning that the Italian club are under absolutely no pressure to sell him when the transfer window comes around.
