It looks as though another hoped for David Moyes signing is set to bite the dust as the inflationary cycle in summer window fees goes through the roof.
There has been strong and correct speculation that Lille midfielder Amadou Onana is a major target for the Hammers,
The story was first broken by Sky Sports and it has since been confirmed to Claret and Hugh by a key Hammers insider.
However, it seems that Lille have made it clear to the Irons that the sensational 20 year old will not be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 club for anything less than €60 million which is way in advance of what we would be prepared to offer.
It was suggested that we are in the market at around £25 million but our source made it clear that whilst we were prepared to go higher, a fee of £60 million is too much given the other positions which require filling
A shame he is class. However, well done West Ham Board for once. Providing a decent explanation as to why a bid is failing and the assurance that the Club is doing something is all I ever asked.
This shows that too many clubs are chasing the little amount of real talent that is available judging by transfers achieved so far and the ridiculous prices being bandied about!
Needs players to say they would like to leave the club and go to the Premier otherwise its pointless with clubs saying we’re not selling them. As like Dec already said I’m staying for another season at least then you know who to go for and not waste time
And so another transfer window ticks by……..
Apparently “Dithering Dave ” had identified all his targets before the window opened, but he seems to of put all over dealings on hold to wait & see if his ” love child ” ( Lingard ) will sign ……….
Rob Newman must be wandering just what it is that Moyes is looking for as he continues to make excuse’s when we get seriously connected with someone 😴😴😴😴😴
