Hopes rise for injured Hammer

|

David Moyes is hopeful he will have a full squad available for the two games against Silkeborg and Everton on Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon.

The match at Goodison Park has become the Sky Sports choice of game and will be shown as the 2.15 pm on that channel.

There have been worries over Maxwel Cornet and we are unikely to be without Ben Johnson who is understood to have a hamstring injury.

Cornet received a knock against Chelsea after so unluckily having his equaliser ruled out by the referee following the VAR intervention,

But Claret and Hugh’s key London Road contact told us this morning there are high hopes the former Burnley man will be available for the two games and is recovering well.

The game in Silkeborg may see Craig Dawson return to central defence although of course Nayef Aguerd remains unavailable following the injury he received in pre-season following his move to the club.
