Big decisions required as Moyes looks to save himself

|

Stay at home Craig Dawson’s absence from the match against Everton this weekend could see the Hammers go with three central defenders in Aguerd, Zouma and Oggy.

The long term Hammers servant looked to be coming back to his best at Wolves and would have to be unlucky to miss out.

Declan and Lanzini look the answer in front of the back line given that Manu has always looked effective on his rare appearances in the role.

It would be good to see Benny start although Fornals is a decent option if the former Brentford star is in inconsistent mode.

One can only assume that Scamacca will play up front assuming he is fit given the poor run of form affecting Mikey Antonio’s game.

Moyes has big decisions to make as he bids to win a game which otherwise could lose him his job should he fail to lift three points.

It’s too late to save his job. Even if we win and I just cannot see it under Moyes, he has to be sacked as the performances have been simply dire and they will continue to be. If he has any cop on he needs to drop both Soucek and Bowen at weekend. I would also play mubana ahead of antonio. This would be my team Fab, Coufal, Zouma, Ogbonna, Aguerd, Emerson, Rice, Fornals, Paqueta, Benrahna, Mubana.

    But. Why?

Only 5 teams have conceded less than us – and only 1 team (Wolves) have scored less.

The statstics here are so easy to read. West Ham and Everton have both scored 15 goals (joint 2nd worst), and Everton has conceded 1 goal more. Both teams struggle to score goals, but are quite solid defensively.

Going 3 CBs would strengthen an already good defense whilst weakining an already non existent attack?
