Hammers give CandH exclusive injury update

CandH Exclusive By Hughie Southon

David Moyes is concerned that he could be without Thilo Kehrer for the game against Chelsea at the weekend after the German international was withdrawn in the 1-1 draw at St James’ park yesterday (Sat).

It would mean – were he to be missing – that Ben Johnson would need to be drafted in alongside Nayef Aguerd and Angelo Ogbonna for yet another awkward looking fixture .

Claret and Hugh leaned this evening that Kehrer was taken off after feeling uncomfortable with his hamstring and no risks were going to be taken by the manager.

And a top source told us that there were now worries that he could miss the London derby adding that although Chelsea had been on a bad run they had amazing players  “we would  need to hope they don’t come back to their best.”

He added: “We have our fingers firmly crossed for Kehrer that there are no problems that  keep him out of the game.”

Almost like we should have signed a defender

We are definitely struggling with injuries this season on top of everything else. Still very worried about relegation at the mo!!! But then DM ignored the January window!!!

I’d be more worried if Kehrer made the team he is such a poor defender IMO an accident waiting to happen.

Here’s me thinking he was hooked because he was worse than awful. A player with deceptive pace – he’s slower than he looks
