Exiled midfielder faces bleak Irons future

|

Morgan+Amalfitano+West+Ham+United+v+Liverpool+CswSINzPf6RlMorgan Amalfitano has little hope of resurrecting his Hammers career.

Despite being handed a squad number for the new season, the Frenchman is still out in the cold with manager Slaven Bilic after missing a team meeting.

He was exiled to train with the under 21s a few weeks back and only squeezed into the squad after a deadline day loan move saw Matt Jarvis join Norwich City.

But there has been no thaw in the frosty relationship between the pair and it looks as though the midfielder’s exile will continue into the forseeable future.

A well placed source said: “It’s very unfortunate but the manager has to be allowed to manage. The player is on decent wages but only the manager can decide if and when he will be brought back into the fold.

“As things stand there seems very little chance of a reconciliation – there looks to be no way back the way things stand right now.”
