Bookies reckon Adebayor will join Irons

|

adebayor-tottenham-west-ham_3259920Emmanuel Adebayor remains at a short price to join the Hammers.

Irons boss Slaven Bilic admitted  that he had spoken to the Spurs striker for an hour but that there had been no negotiations.

He revealed that the pair had merely had a chat and that there were no negotiations adding he had simply wanted to talk to him.

He said: “We spoke for one hour, and the possibility of him coming, but in the end it didn’t happen because of the contract situation with Spurs.”

Adebayor falls out of contract next summer but a future switch to West Ham, either in the January transfer window or as a free agent next year, now seems unlikely with Nikicia Jelavic arriving and Andy Carroll back to fitness.

However, none of that has stopped Sky Bet offering odds of 7/4 that he will join the Irons by February 3, next year.

In their latest list they also offer him joining Monaco at 2/1. Villa 4/1, QPR 8/1 and Watford at 10/1.

Do we actually need Adebayor ?. I would suggest , not really . The summer signings should serve us in good stead and if we do sign anyone in the January window it doesn’t need to be Adebayor . If we had managed to sign him last season he would now be part of an exciting squad , but too much water has run under the bridge now and our team selection doesn’t need to get more complicated by signing a player that can’t get into the Spud Squad .

….and he is at Spurs….Enemy in the camp stuff! Don’t need him, don’t want him…and I love the fact he is costing all that money to Spurs…In the Berahino spat, Levy came out with a load of suprior ******** about how he would never let his judgement be clouded by personal issues etc. Oh yeah? Not what happened with West Ham, eh Levy?, you ****.

For the record, after the robot entered ****s for my final comment; it did not begin with ‘c’, but began with a ‘t’ followed by a ‘w’…then ‘a’ etc…got it, girls?

He wont come to us.Christ if he did he would make the ‘sinner’ Amalifitano look like a choirboy.Give him a couple of months & he would be up to his usual bad attitude games. He has basically spent the last few years flushing his career down the kharsi. Its a shame really,he can be a top player when he wants to be 😉

  • essexclarets says:

He is an lazy over rated waste of money, he is not needed in our squad imo he will have a negative effect on the squad & be wanting a massive pay day… a certain other managers type of player.

  • COYI247 says:

….and just how did the bookies get on with the transfer of Charlie Austin to the Prem?

  • essexclarets says:

The bookies just make these up just to try & grab money from saps who believe their crap.

  • Dean says:

This is a non-starter.He will end up in the UAE earning the big bucks for doing nothing i expect. Some mugs will take him, they took Maiga 😉

  • bubs says:

It will come down to money,Nolan thought he would walk into a job at £50k per week,if he wants to play again it will probably be fore £15/£20k per week,Cole has found the same problem,I think unless he wants to go to USA or and Arab team he will be lucky to join Villa or us for £25k per week or pay as you play,
What a waste of talent but that seems the way of ex gooners, money chasers that will never be remembered for being great players,
But glad Levy got shafted again, the last 3 spud managers have wasted more money on overrated rubbish than Rogers on just
