Amazing value of the Hammers bench

|

carrollIf anybody is wondering just how far West Ham have come  this season take a look at the bench and beyond.

It’s a quite extraordinary scenario to find that since the start of the season we have progressed to the point where we have around £50 million worth of personnel waiting for a game.

Add it up for yourself whilst realising that with Michail Antonio – a £7 million buy – couldn’t even make the squad for the game against Palace.

And that Reece Oxford – who was in the opening team for the match at Arsenal is also waiting patiently for a chance to impress again.

Here’s yesterday’s bench plus the two mentioned with their approximate values although it is difficult to put a price on Carroll and Oxford:

  • Randolph (£2 million)
  • Carroll (£12 million)
  • Zárate  (£3 million)
  • E Valencia (£12 million)
  • Obiang (£5 million)
  •  Ogbonna (£8 million)
  •  Jelavic (£2 million)
  • Antonio (£7 million)
  • Oxford (£5 million)
  • making a total of £56 million
