David Sullivn makes no bones about it: Payet STAYS

By Hugh Southon

David Sullivan has made it crystal clear to every top club in the world that our hero Dimi Payet is simply not for sale.

Fears have not unnaturally grown among Hammers fans after an epic performance in the opening Euro 2016 clash between France and Romania that the midfield magician could be on hs way to anywhere from Manchester to Madrid.

However, choosing to respond to ClaretandHugh, David has exclusively sent a message to all the world’s chairmen and managers that they need not bother picking up their phones.

Agreeing that Dimi’s performance was quite out of this world last night (Fri) he then snapped: “It’s as simple as this – we are not selling him – not at any price.

“West Ham United is building a team around Dimi Payet – he will not be moving anywhere and that is that.”

The news will come as a massive boost for fans who can now sit and enjoy the remainder of the tournament knowing the chairman has spoken.

Well said David Sullivan. You can build a team around a player like dmitri payet because top players will want to play in the same team as him.

  • Hockley Hammer says:

What happens if Payet, says he wants to go. It might not be Sullivans decision to make.

Lol Teddy.Think you will find very few nurotic people in life AOI.Perhaps you need some neurologic tests though, something isn’t right in your head.

  • Just to let everybody know this forum will be moderated starting over the next few days- abuse, personal insults, swearing and anything that borders on sexism (male or female) racism etc will be binned. We all know what code of behaviour is requred. I would add that abusive references to other Irons websites should also come to an end as is comment which doesn’t relate to the topic. Moderation is normal so please put any high horses away 🙂

We will never get our top striker by selling the one player who would make a top striker want to sign on the dotted line.
Either we have ambitions to be a top club or we don’t and selling Dimitri would tell any ambitious player, we don’t.

What an amazing player we have at our club. We are very fortunate to have him but another performance like that and the bigger clubs will make enquiries. It’s inevitable. If we were offered the money that is being talked about, and in this day of player power, we would have to sell.
And who would deny him a move? He deserves to be on the best stage in one of the best teams. As long as we wouldn’t sell him to another English club. I don’t think he is the kind of player to demand a move and would be humble enough to go about it in the right way.

Anyway, I can’t wait to see Payet in the claret and blue next year! COYI

  • Southeast Ham says:

Please define “choosing to respond to ClaretandHugh”. When and how did David Sullivan state that Dimi is NOT FOR SALE? I can’t find any mention of this quote anywhere else.

  • Ironworker says:

Love it, Love it, Love it, !!! – Why is Payet playing for West Ham they cry !!! — Why Not us ( Man U Man C , Chelsea etc etc etc +++++ boo hoo hoo )– I could Cry out loud with laughter as the whole World wants Payet and he plays for my life long team who are on the verge off knocking over the apple cart !! — So with the utmost Respect to the so-called “Bigger Clubs” and their greedy fans — EAT MY SHORTS !!! lol !!! • MonkeysBellend says:

With Payet’s wonderstrike yesterday, frankly, I was a bit depressed, because I thought we just might not be able to keep hold of him, afterall, exits can always be engineered, one way or another,…BUT, of course, we can turn this on it’s head:
If Payet shines all the way through the Euros, AND he stays (and firmly so), then instead we might have the Batyboys of this world queuing up to come to WHU, even without the Champions league…
Perfectly possible, yeah?…Here’s to hoping! Fortune’s NOT always hiding!
