Hammers ‘target’ joins Saints

|

RedmondRegular speculation that West Ham were interested in signing Norwich City wideman Nathan Redmond finally came to nothing today when the former Canary agreed to join Southampton

He agreed a five year deal with the club at a fee reported as being £11 million

Redmond scored six times in the Premier League last term, but couldn’t keep Alex Neil’s side in the top flight.

The Carrow Road club had been keen to keep hold of the winger, but the player was determined to remain in the Premier League and with no interest emerging from the Hammers – decspte the rumours – he is now on his way to Saints.

Generally decent winger, but we are beyond his quality now – especially with Ferghouli and Tore (signing next week).

The moment we signed Feghouli there was no need for Redmond
