Sakho’s transfer request – the fans react

|

Diafra Sakho has handed in a transfer request to the club.

The Senegal striker is believed by many to be the best striker at West Ham so how have the fans at ClaretandHugh’s Facebook Group responded.

Here’s some views after allowing the news to sink in properly over the last few hours.

'Sak'in much happier times

O Get rid. No use keeping unhappy players

O Of course a reason a transfer request is put in is to help negotiations already in progress. He forfeits ‘loyalty payments’ and other contractual obligations as part of a deal.

O Shame, but don’t want to be part of WHUFC-GO! 😉

O I still really rate him and don’t really want to see him banging them in for someone else.

O I’d feel a bit peeved after hearing for a year that a ’20 goal man’ is coming in. Especially after battling through two nasty injuries.

O The team works with a happy dressing room nothing or no one should be allowed to risk that, get a deal done ASAP.
O He leaves we lose him, he stays we’ve lost him anyway as he’s clearly been pulling the shirt on under sufferance since being dropped for the Arsenal match. Can he overcome his differences? What effect will it have on the others… time to go.

O Doesn’t seem long ago he was in DS’s mansion signing a new contract. We thought he was mustard then. Pity but like Tonks, I think he’d now be second choice and that’s not fair. Tough to let someone go before we have a new star ‘nailed-on’ and having proved they’re better.

O Think we’re in serious trouble if he goes. He’s the only ‘proper’ forward we have. Valencia is off too. Andy carrol isn’t a 20 goals a season man. We’ll bring in untested untried mercenaries for 25 mil, 150 grand a week and it’ll take them a whole season to bed in. No sell on fee because they are knocking on. Payet is an exception of course
O To be quite honest totally fed up with Sakho. Good player when his head is right. But he can be trouble with a capital “T”. Get price that club thinks is good business and move on.
O Too moody, too injury prone and he obviously thinks he’s not good enough to compete with other strikers for a starting place. Bye bye then.

if Sakho wants to go play for allardyce then let him. He was never going to be first choice striker. Good runner but seriously overrated as a footballer in my opinion. Far too selfish. Poor attitude considering we plucked him from lower league french football and gave him a crack in the best league in the world

I’ve far to much to say on this subject ! Won’t bore you all with it ?
Good luck sakho , don’t score to many against us ?

Don’t get why some are peeved over this, the fact is he doesn’t score enough. If he doesn’t want to be at the club any more let him go.

  • bubs says:

    And £10 million profit
    Bye bye

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

If he doesn’t want to stay and we can get a good profit on him let him go or even do a swap deal with Defoe who will score us goals and is international quality.

  • starlet55 says:

seems a shame sakho being replaced by bacca at 29

Same was said about Payets age.Sakho obviously don’t fancy a bit of competition for his place which says a lot about his character. Hasn’t looked up for it for some time now. Get a good price and get rid. Of course he’ll come back and bite us in the arse, but don’t they all.
