Irons keep the faith in Kayoute deal

|

West Ham are still clinging to the hope that Cheikhou Kayoute will sign for the Irons despite fresh moves from Valencia to clinch the player’s signature.

KayClaretandHugh reported last night  that the Spanish club had returned with a 9 million euro bid for the Anderlecht central defender/midfielder.

And a Hammers source claimed as a result the odds of him joining us had fallen from 90 prt cent to around 25 per cent.

But the Hammers remain optimistic despite the pressure being put on the Belgian club to accept the offer from Spain.

Kayoute himself is desperately keen to launch a Premier League career – a desire close to his heart since the tug of war between Valencia and the Hammers started.

And it seems that there’s still a chance that could swing the deal, for the player’s wishes are of equal importance to Anderlecht’s desire to do the deal.

Our source told us exclusively this morning: We still hope and believe the player wants to come.

“But Valencia keep offering more and more to Anderlecht who want him to go there. Time will tell if we are right.”

Valencia can’t afford to keep offering more and more, they we’re skint not so long ago

    • If you read the story carefully you will see there remains a 25 pc chance and it’s down to the player. That was stated in first and second. As I understand it that’s the position.

Every other news source saying 7.5million pounds four year deal medical Monday. No truth in that then?
