Bilic poll: Fans send clear message to board

|

bilicsmilesWest Ham fans have sent a clear and overwhelming message to the West Ham board: “Don’t you dare sack Slaven Bilic.”

Despite four straight League defeats and five in all this season, the manager remains massively popular with the vast majority of fans .

The vote quickly passed the 1,000 mark required to make it official with polling firm Mori and the result was never in doubt from the moment the first votes were cast.

Only 157 voted for the Croat boss to be fired in a poll which asked: ” Should Slaven face the sack after Saturday ” …assuming of course that the Hammers were beaten by Middlesborough.

The yes vote represented just 16.81 of the votes cast with 731 per cent ( or 78.2 per cent) saying that he should remain in the job. Around four per cent didn’t know.

ClaretandHugh will be sending the result of the poll to the West Ham board.

Let’s hope they take notice Hugh

  • Eddie says:

157 of the delusional fans Allardyce spoke so highly of hehe

  • ironswatch says:

if they sack him they can have my S/T and shove it up there ass and i will not go again till they **** off I would sack all the players first

    • GW says:

Irons you ain’t the only one but I’d staple it to Lady Brady’s head as I walk out the door! If I’m allowed to walk or stand up in the shiny fish bowl 🙂

  • danielson79 says:

Is it time for the board to reflect on their p*ss poor trandfer policy this summer? Feghouli Masuaka Fletcher and Arbeloa the only decent signings. Should have spent the rest convincing Bacca or Lacca to sign.

    • RickHammer says:

I said the same earlier Danielson. But apparently Hugh said Bilic had the say so on every transfer.I dont buy it for one minute though. Some of the signings reeked of Sullivan Just my opinion,i think im allowed it lol

  • westside says:

If we carry on losing I suspect that Slav will walk anyway.

  • Bil155 says:

I am not going again to a league match till they sack brady and if anyone wants to buy my season ticket they are more than welcome while she is there. I will go to the Chelsea game just as a Last Farewell lol

  • winchester hammer says:

I disagree completely. He won’t turn it around because you only have to listen to him and see him to know he doesn’t have a clue what to do. You can call me all the names under the sun but the fact is he had one lucky season and now he’s being found out. Just like Martinez. In fact, he was starting to be found out at the end of last season. The implosion in the Swansea game was very similar to yesterday and West Brom first half. Yes the players aren’t performing, but they ALL aren’t performing. That suggests something more wrong than individual form. Bilic can speak with that irritating studied seriousness and “I’m such a nice, open, down-to-earth guy” crap in post-match interviews as much as he likes. The fact is he said almost the same after yesterday’s debacle as he did after Watford and West Brom. Nice guy, but not up to it. At least Dicks should go. Defensive coach my arse. He managed Wivenhoe Town FFS. Not even in the Football League last time I looked.

.”Bilic can speak with that irritating studied seriousness and “I’m such a nice, open, down-to-earth guy” crap in post-match interviews as much as he likes”

Wow youre a lovely fella eh Winchester Hammer.Maybe you should stick to Southampton or Portsmouth.

    • Eddie says:

No one needs to call you names.I think your comment about Bilic told us all all we need to know about you thanks.

  • Tone says:

I dont know whether the poll counts until it is given the all clear by the WHTID governing body LOL .There seems to be rumblings & grumblings going on.It may be null & void.

  • Jimwest says:

Why make Slav the scapegoat, he should have been given more money to buy quality, instead of crap freebies.
Remember also Payet wanted leave, so is he now sulking, who knows?
Give the man the money and let him fetch in some quality instead of rubbish, (Daves)

    • GW says:

Don’t forget about our new undropable captain no legs who says it can’t get any worse while delivering nothing other than a ****ty interview to sky to stir it up a little bit more.

      • bubbles says:

GW you are spot on . Noble is terrible . No legs matched with no ability is costing us dearly . He is stranded in midfield , neither helping attack or defend . If Bilic ca’t see that he deserves to go .

  • jonnyd says:

Too many of team are resting on their laurels. This is the main problem – not how they are set up. Payet, Lanzini, Kouyate, Antonio and Noble may have been a success last year but they were totally out fought in the middle of the park on Sunday. Norvelt and Tore are not up to premiership pace or touch and would not make my bench. Zaza – the least said the better. Adrian’s distribution is poor and he could have done better for the first goal. Reid and Ogonna need to re- introduce themselves to each other and look ill balanced.
I would play Randolph in foul; keep the new Spaniard in his favourite RB position; move Ogbonna to LB, Collins and Reid at CB; Oxford in front of back four; Noble and Obiang in front of him thus sacrificing an offensive MF; Antonio and Payet playing wide; Fletcher up front.
My bench would be made up to include some hungry youngsters such as Martinez and Browne.
Kouyate, Adrian, Lanzini, Fergoulie and Fernandez make up the numbers.

    • kennycandb says:

Jonny. We must read each other’s minds. Exactly, and I mean, exactly how I think. The only thing is you made no mention of Byram who I still believe is an emerging talent. My only other issue is Nobes. Badly off form and looked mentally drained in his post match interview. I would play Obiang in place of Nobes and bring Fernandez in.

      • bubbles says:

Kenny I am sharing your mind as well .Nobes is finished . The pitch is too big for someone who can’t run . Fernandez must be given a chance with Obiang.

  • bubs says:

Reid and Ginge in defence Noble on the pitch,
I must have been watching different games,
A keeper that lets in 11 goals in 3 games not t being replaced,
Players that are being played in the wrong position or on the wrong side,
No confidence,to much posing, diving looking for free kicks,
Not tracking back to help team mates,
There lies our problems and we need a kick start, fresh blood,
Obiang winning the ball in front of a proper defence who defend first,
A proper ball player either Lanzini or Payet taking the ball forward, not backwards or side ways,
Antonio Feggolui Payet running at the defenders making things happen and a C Forward that can attack the ball hold it up,
Sak needs recalling now because even 90% he is better then Zaza,
But Slavenstien the mad scientist needs to be given time and backed to make big changes
In January we need 2 Centre halves that defend the old way,

    • Stan The Man says:

Bubs we could have had De Gea in goal & still let in most of the goals we did.If it hadnt have been for Adrian on Sunday it could have been 5 or 6 lmao

  • Bil155 says:

No takers for my season ticket then lol !! And Winchester are you off your head on something

  • mattefumi27 says:

Maybe I’m missing something here. That man? Slaven Bilic? The man who gave us that fantastic season less than a year ago? The man who brought us Payet? That man who defeated all the top teams? That man who made us dream, that man who entertained us, that man who gave us hope and something to believe in? And now It’s all gone, it’s all forgotten… That’s not bad, that’s genuinely not bad… wow. 😉

    • Stan The Man says:

Its the mentality of football fans these days Matte. No manager gets a run at things anymore.Lose a handful of games & fans start screaming for their heads.**** me the same fans who put up with BFS for four seasons now want Bilic out after less than two months of the season. But do not fear our italian friend you know the Wetlands will have all the answers 🙂 🙂

      • mattefumi27 says:

Lol Stan, that site is like storm at sea these days… haha 😀

      • Sams P45 says:

Haha yeah but always remember if you go on there if you swear on it you will get banned like me..or maybe not depending who you are.Fecking load of w4nk.

  • mattefumi27 says:

my message is obviously addressed to those 157 likeable guys … lol 😉

  • oldgit says:

The fans wanted Bilic and most will not change their minds regardless of how many games we lose. They will lay the blame elsewhere. He is making a lot of mistakes like not giving the youngsters a go, signing players that he knew from mickey mouse leagues who are simply not up to premiership standards, playing out of form players and putting players out of their best positions. I want the manager to do his absolute nut at the players not shake his head, looking sorry for himself, saying I don’t know what we can do.

    • Eddie says:

Oh ok so the players are blameless are they. The arguement cuts both ways, you cant only have it one way so you can blame only Bilic. How about the players & their timid efforts on the pitch so far.Or do you not blame the players only the manager.Same as who you complain about just spun 180% isnt it.For you it is all Bilic but the players are blameless right??

    • winchester hammer says:

      Yep. Spot on.

  • kevin says:

Finding it hard to raise any optimism right now . Just hoping Bilic can get team playing again instead of them running scared at every attack the opposition mount . Confidence is at the lowest I have ever seen it in all my years as a west ham fan . It really is down to Bilic to sort it out , that’s the Managers job . Also the players need to take a good long look at themselves and react . If Bilic ( as reports have suggested ) has been given three games to improve our performance and get at least 3 points are correct then imo it is justified . As a fan I wouldn’t like to see it go completely south for Bilic , but on the other hand , as a fan , I want to see us winning games before we get sucked into a relegation fight before Christmas. Having faith in the manager is one thing , but faith is a thing you believe in unquestionably and without hesitation. Sorry to say I am finding myself becoming hesitant.
I don’t like being in the position I find myself in and Soo Want things to improve . But how much time does one give for that to happen . A time could come when a horrible decision has to be made.. I sincerely hope that moment doesn’t arrive .

    • winchester hammer says:

Agreed. A bad start often means a relegation battle. I also hope he can turn it around. It is down to him to galvanise the players. If he can’t do that quickly, we’ll get sucked into a dogfight. Three more games makes sense to me.

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I voted no as mentioned on the original post, the answer to me seems simple, put the fear of God in the players, no more nice and friendly family, it was one of the reasons I suggested seeing if PDC could be taken on to oversee the coaching because that would definitely create some waves and increase the intensity, very unlikely of course but something similar needs to happen and soon imo.

  • WestGoaHam says:

I must say I was disappointed to see Slav’s reaction and negative comments. Being honest is one thing but he should try to be uplifting. I hope he turns it round but I can’t see the bosses sitting around doing nothing for long. Too much at stake for them. COYI

  • JB says:

Im telling you there is more to this than meets the eye.We will all find out in time im sure.
