Brady’s mixed message on Slaven

|

bradySlaven Bilic will not be sacked should the team fail to beat Swansea today but Karren Brady has admitted there is growing anxiety inside the club over its position.

As revealed by ClaretandHugh several days ago, Michail Antonio’s contract talks have been put on hold until the Irons are safe as the board does preliminary sums in the light of the issues facing them.

Victory over the Swans would see the Irons eight points clear of the Welsh outfit – a position which drew the comment from a CandH insider: “If that happens, the game is all but over – we’re safe!”

But vice-chairwoman Karren Brady admitted:  “I would be lying if I denied there is growing anxiety. We fully support Slaven and expect him to turn things around.

However, that’s followed by what can only be described as a mixed message when she declares: “But it’s at moments like this we have to understand football, totally, is a results business.”

That comment in her SunSport column comes as planned talks over new deals with key players have been frozen.

Lmao looks like the morning after a late one in Harvey Nic’s Champagne bar. I prefer the chestie photo Hugh normally uses much more pleasing on the eye. I suppose Hugh will use this photo now of Kazza as he’s not fan and it’s certainly not complimentry.
