Report: Hammers track England u-21 keeper

|

Jordan PickfordWest Ham are this morning reported ready to join the race  for Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford.

Everton and Arsenal are also keen but the Irons have been tracking the  23-year-old has been ahead of a possible summer move.

They want the England Under-21 star after a season where they have often  looked weak between the sticks with frst Adrian and latterly Darren Randolph proving error prone

Pickford is seen as an England No1 of the future and could be landed for £15million if Sunderland get relegated.

Tottenham have looked at Pickford as talented back-up to Hugo Lloris, while Arsenal are also looking to the future with Petr Cech now 34.

IF we did get him, and depends who are in the race for him, he needs to get a guarantee he will not be sent out on loan!

A decent Keeper is badly needed, I don’t remember Randolph having much to do yesterday but I’ve just seen the hi-lights of the match on Sky this morning and Randolph was all over the place on several occasions.

Neither Randolph or Adrian are top-class and Pickford does look good – he’s had a good Season in a poor Sunderland side, well worth having a serious look at.

I hope we get him, I would rather we spent £20m on him than another flop forward. Go in very early this time DS if you are listening because he will be the English player in most demand next season imho. Do a double deal for him and Defoe.
