Hart official Hammers switch now close

|

joe-hart-manchester-city-hull-premier-league_3001982Joe Hart has now agreed to the financial terms on offer from West Ham in the wage sharing deal with Manchester City and is currently finalising the parent club’s share of the terms.

The England keeper has now passed a West Ham medical but we learned this morning there is as yet no “timeline” for an official announcement.

This is because Hart is now involved in the final stages of agreeing financial details with City but given the circumstances are very similar to his Torino loan deal, no issues are expected.

We have been told this morning that the keeper’s package with City tops out at around £170k a week of which the Irons are understood to be paying half.

And written into the arrangement is the guarantee of West Ham taking the player permanently next summer should we choose to complete a permanent signing.

A Hammers source said: “It should all be done shortly.”

If those are bald numbers then we pay £85k a week, which for us is still a massive amount.
I can’t really see the point of a relatively cheap option to buy, because we will not want to pick up a wage of anything like £170k after a year.
Still, as a keeper he does outclass the two we have.

Is there any news on Arnautovic and Hernandez?

  • JRS says:

Massive for any player especially a keeper in decline hope he gets his form back but GK make more than any other player is unusual.
What happen to we pay £50k and know sounds like we have to Mae deal permanent next summer.
No offense to Hart but before that money we could have gone young for future or got Heston.

Very strange all that fuss about paying Striker wages and Hart makes triple what Adrian does OE more.
We are paying £120k and a £4.5m loan fee City are paying £55k but that is mostly Royalties and Rights pay from what I understand. Well Joe has def mad a nice payday for himself.
Hope we see the Hart of 3-4 years ago not past 2.

Judge him on performance alone. Nothing else.

Where do you get your figures from JRS?

This is the most monumental mistake that we have made in years.

    I am gutted.

Team spirit and ethic out the window. Bye-bye Hammers. 🙁
