Police/Premier League talks over Spurs v Irons clash

|

The Metropolitan Police and Premier League are set to enter talks on the best security measures available for the Carabao Cup clash between the Irons and Spurs due to take place on October 25 or 26.

A heavy security presence can be expected and the Daily Mail reports Tottenham can expect to at least treble the 24,000 crowd that went to watch them beat Barnsley.

The two clubs are likely to put out statements before the game warning that any trouble will not be tolerated.

And they will also be expected to inform fans of transport routes and the best way to gain entry into the ground.

It is likely to include asking supporters to arrive early to ensure that they can get through security checks, such as bag searches, ahead of kick-off.
