The West Ham manager poll

|

bilic-moyes_lx68sipwrc2v1861hiuyjpyqiToday we run a straightforward Claret and Hugh poll with just two options, do you want David Moyes to take over managing West Ham or given the option would you prefer to stick with Slaven Bilic .

Moyes has managed three Premier League clubs in Everton, Manchester United and Sunderland. Over 504 matches at Goodison park, he managed 1.52 Premier League points per game rising 1.73 league points per game at his 51 games in charge at Old Trafford.  He dropped down to a dismal 0.72 points per game with the Black Cats which saw them relegated.

Slaven Bilic has 1.43 Premier League points per game at West Ham over 109 games.

There should be a neither option because Bilic has to go and it seems like he will be gone soon.

    Feeling clicky Sybil 😂😂
    Neither 😉

  • tonycheekyboy says:

    Neither

  • Michael Miller says:

A neither and someone else option is required!

  • Ruffellite says:

Adding my agreement to all of the above.

  • Frenchie says:

    Neither Sean.

  • Roytheboy says:

    Neither

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

    Neither

  • The poll was designed only to give a reaction to the possibility of David Moyes, a none of the above option would have diluted that response

  • Slater says:

I could not vote in this. When Slaven is released then I’ll have an opinion on what manager I’d like if he’d join. At least so far David Moyes has said he’d like to manage us, that’s one bonus for him. He’s not he worst option. I don’t think any manager could keep up Sunderland with that set up and Real Sociedad and Man Utd he was on a hiding to nothing.

  • kcockayne says:

I have voted for Bilic – but only because the other option is Moyes. Whatever happens, we must not appoint him. Are the owners having a laugh over the Moyes option ? Can they really be serious ? If this is the way they are thinking , then these are even darker days for West Ham than I thought !

  • Hazzy says:

I’ll be totally blunt. All those that would rather keep Bilic rather than appoint Moyes, must rather see West Ham in the championship next season!

  • kcockayne says:

Hazzy, the major difference between Bilic & Moyes is that Bilic has not, yet, got a team relegated to the Championship; & Moyes has !

  • kcockayne says:

Sean, a “none of the above” option would not have had that effect. It would have clearly indicated that neither Bilic nor Moyes was acceptable.

  • happyhammer101 says:

Neither. Would prefer Terry Westley until the Board find someone who can coach basic techniques like passing the ball (to a team-mate), defending as a unit, running into space and avoiding the “first man” when crossing from corners or free kicks in the opponent’s half. A bit of energy and enthusiasm wouldn’t go amiss either, rather than looking miserable with their hands in their pockets.

  • doc66 says:

Sean this is as bad a poll as it gets. its like asking do you want me to shoot you or knife you?
Moyes might have said he’d be happy to take the job but that doesn’t mean he’s the right man.
15 years ago he joined Everton half way through their season and only just avoided relegation. It’s a whole different game now

  • BillyDWhizz says:

These polls are pointless. Every time you do one you give us Hobson’s choice! Where’s option C? – Sack Bilic and hire someone who ISN’T David Moyes.

  • RuislipHammer says:

What’s Ranieri doing these days? PL winner, must be hurting with points to prove?
If we have to go with a stand-in for the season, let’s at least make sure it’s someone who will keep us up, like Hiddink, no matter what it costs.
The thought of swapping Bilic (who I agree must go now) with someone who is no more likely to keep us up and will take us backwards in terms of approach (e.g. Moyes) seems like desperation and panic to me
