Oxford’s future looks decided

|

_99392235_oxford_gettyReece Oxford looks certain to return to Germany at the end of the January transfer window.

The manager may take a further look at the teenager in the Fourth round of the FA Cup at Wigan but has all but made up his mind that he’s not yet ready for Premier League action.

Oxford has made one very unimpressive appearance in the 3rd round replay against Shrewsbury Town after he had been injured ahead of the first game.

Now he may have just have one last chance to make an impression although we understand the lad has his heart set on a return to Borrusia Monchengladbach until the end of the season at least anyway.

With Declan Rice in particular, and Reece Burke making great strides this season, the manager  is understood to believe that Oxford would benefit from a German rturn.

And were the club to receive a firm offer from ‘gladbach of around £18 million it now looks likely they would take it.

Its all very quiet and confusing.Literally lost count of the number of players we have been associated with in the last 3 weeks. At least 5 players out injured and still these stupid rumours of letting players go.We need at the very least 2 or 3 quality signings in the last week of the window just to hopefully sustain the momentum that has taken us to mid table. Some really winnable games coming up and 5 more victories should secure survival but that threadbare squad is worrying.Having said that i cannot see Ayew or Sakho still being here come next week so they must have a striker like Smolov in mind along with say Dendoncker,Ruiz and,Schurrle.Heres dreaming.I know Moyes prefers British but the prices are crazy and time is running out. This next week could well define the rest of our season.COYI.

It will all kick off in the final week h64 as it always does, the other weeks are generally a waste of time as you can see throughout Europe now.

Lets hope you are right 32.Moyes has probably told the owners he wants no spouting off as there always was under the Bilic regime and things are getting done quietly.Thats my belief anyway.
