Chicharito has returned to West Ham. The striker was back at Rush Green on Friday after coming back from holiday, having represented Mexico at the 2018 World Cup. He underwent the normal pre-season tests including a weigh-in, blood tests and fitness tests which all the squad have completed.
He will now step up his fitness training with double sessions to regain his fitness so is unlikely to be included in tomorrow’s squad against Ipswich at Portman Road. Earlier this week Pellegrini revealed: ”I spoke with Javier before he played the World Cup, when I signed here. I told him that he would be a very important player here with me.”
In fact, he has told his backroom staff that he considers himself a lucky man to have inherited such a player and that there is no question of him moving on. Hernandez arrived at the London Stadium in a £14million switch from Bayer Leverkusen, but was often left out in the cold by first Slaven Bilic and then David Moyes.
Another player we should consider accepting a good offer for, I cannot see him getting into the team (I would have Antonio in the team ahead of him). A good player but not suited to playing as a lone striker so Pelle’s system will not suit him.
Johnham lol you would sell everyone haha we need a squad Hernandez is a quality goal scorer I am sure Pelle will find better ways to use him than Bilic or Moyes!!!
Luxury player with no ability to work back and put himself on the line when things not going well . Sell him on and buy a really good holding midfielder that would change the whole nature of the team .
Chicharito will also be happy to find out that his favourite number 14 shirt will soon become available
