Valencia may give up on Gomez transfer

|

According to a Spanish newspaper, Valencia attempts to sign striker Celta Gomez has got more desperate by attempting to throw a second player into a potential swap deal. According to the report in Marca Valencia would be prepared to include their centre back called Ruben Vezo in addition to striker Santi Mina.

Valencia are claimed to be short of cash and facing financial fair play restrictions hence their eagerness to swap two players and around 10 million Euros. Celta Vigo has so far rejected the offer suggesting that Mina is overvalued by Valencia.

Celta Vigo is said to not to be keen on the deal and have their own centre back targets in mind.

The same Spanish newspaper claims Valencia will switch attention to Espanyol striker Borja Iglesias if they fail to come to an agreement over Gomez.

The report suggests Valencia are growing increasingly fed up because negotiations for Gomez have become protracted and drawn out.
