Diangana set for West Ham return

|

Grady Diangana seems set for a West Ham return this summer with West Bromwich Albion unlikely to match the Hammers valuation to make the move permanent.

Slaven Bilic’s men look set to secure promotion to the Premier League however they plan to be prudent with their summer spending and are reportedly unwilling to shell out £20m to secure the permanent services of Diagana.

Last week West Ham, West Brom and Grady agreed to extend his loan until the end of the 2019/2020 Championship season which finishes on 22nd July.

Diangana, who has scored five goals and produced six assists so far this season missed the last few months of the Baggies’ season before suspension due to a hamstring injury – with the midfielder being forced off inside nine minutes against stoke City back in January.

The 21-year-old, who made a promising start for Slaven Bilic, sustained a hamstring injury against Brentford in December – keeping him out for four weeks.

Despite initially recovering and completing a full 90 minutes against Charlton Athletic in January, Diangana limped off in the Baggies’ next game in a  1-0 defeat against Stoke City after just four minutes and failed to appear again with accusations he was rushed back too quickly by West Brom medical staff.
