Westley: We have to attack Spurs – it’s the only way

|

CandH’s exclsuive blogger Terry Westley casts his eye over the Hammers problems tonight and says “somehow we have to find the net ” which is the biggest issue facing this team.

Somehow and from somewhere David Moyes has to find a way of attacking Spurs tonight!

As Hugh explained in a previous blog things look as tough as they are ever likely to be ahead of the game and there are some seemingly unanswerable questions.

The news that Jeremy Ngakia is definitely on his way is deeply disappointing and should he be selected tonight it’s as well for his sake the game will be behind closed doors – visiting fans would have really made their feelings known.

Declan must go back into midfield

Should the manager look to park the bus we are gonna get beaten – we have to find a way of scoring goals and at the moment that is a serious problem.

Try to defend for 90 minutes and you will be beaten – one set piece, one slip up, one piece of lack of concentration and it’s over.

I’d have to find a way of getting Declan back into midfield and Xande Silva HAS to be an option off the bench but I don’t think he can possibly start in a game like this.

He’s come through so much and his character is impeccable so I’d  have no problem throwing him on.

The problems are obvious and have all been mentioned in the earlier piece on here. But we somehow have to find a goal or two and with such limited options it’s hard to know where to look.

Anderson was deeply disappointing on Saturday and were Nathan Holland fit I’d give him a shout but he’s not ready I’m told.

David Moyes has to go with his most experienced team and this would be mine whilst at the same time praying that somehow, somewhere we can find the net.

Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Balbuena, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Soucek, Bowen, Lanzini, Antonio
