Absurd Arsenal Rice claim

|

The Daily Mail – having clearly fallen foul of the Team Rice publicity machine along with talkSPORT- are reporting this morning that West ham are ENCOURAGING Arsenal to make another bid for the player.

They claim that the [ressure is on for Mikel Arteta and with Manchester City inquiring, the Gooners could be hijacked by a Pep Guardiola bid.

Now the radio station suggest the Irons are now encouraging Arsenal to submit a third bid for Rice to bring a ‘speedy end to the saga’.

The report continues to state that Pep Guardiola’s side have also held talks with West Ham but are yet to make a formal offer after being told Rice prefers a move to Arsenal.

West Ham United are reportedly encouraging Arsenal to make a third bid for Declan Rice

Now why on earth the Hammers would want to encourage any club in such circumstances leaves one wide eyed in disbelief. The Hammers board will simply allow clubs to bid and make their choice.

This Rice saga is becoming more absurd by the day with a publicity machine driving it. We all know he wants to go to Arsenal but top be pushing the thing to this extent is simply crazy.

The Mail report adds that West Ham are keen to end the saga once and for all which they aren’t. They know the money in on the way regardless and can make their own offers in the window as a result anyway.
