The deal to sign Timothee Kolodziejczak fell apart due to high fees demanded by agents involved in the deal according to the French sports daily newspaper L’Equipe.
West Ham came very close to signing up Kolo before moving for Ipswich Left back Aaron Cresswell which they eventually bought for £3.75m.
L’Equipe claims West Ham had agreed a fee with Nice for Kolodziejczak, which was around the €5m mark.
Kolo’s senior career started at Lyon when he made 9 appearances until he moved to Nice in 2012 where he has made 64 appearances scoring one goal.
Kolodziejczak who is under contract at Nice until 2016 will now remain at the Ligue 1 club.
