Aguerd’s amazing prediction

|

Nayef Aguerd told his French team-mates at West Ham that Morocco would play the world champions in the World Cup semi-finals before the tournament started!

The centre-back has been imperious for his country at the tournament, even if he sustained an injury in the last-16 clash with Spain.

Morocco have been unbelievable at the World Cup, knocking out both Spain and Portugal and also defeating Belgium in the group stages.

They have conceded just one goal throughout the tournament – an own goal against Canada – and are now gearing up for a gigantic clash with France.

Morocco are the first African side to ever reach the semi-finals of the World Cup and Aguerd was so confident before the tournament that he told his team-mates that his side would be reaching the last four.

According to L’Equipe, as per Get French Football News, Aguerd was bullish when he spoke to Alphonse Areola before the competition.

He said: “We’ll get through the groups and we’ll see you in the semi-finals or the final, that’s for sure”.
