Ajeti fires parting shot at Hammers

|

Albian Ajeti has taken no time at all in putting West Ham well and truly behind him but not before he aimed a parting shot at the managers Manuel Pellegrini and David Moyes who refused to given him the chance to show what he could do.

After signing a four year deal with Celtic he was quick to make it clear that he should have had more opportunities to show what he was about.

As he was presented to the media he made sure that the message was out there when discussing his near wasted year at the London Stadium after signing for the club in an £8 million deal.

He made just  nine appearances – some of no longer than ten minutes or less –  before being flogged off at a £3 million loss after a solitary season at the club.

He picked his words carefully but it was quite clear what he thought of his treatment declaring: “Yes, to be fair I deserved to play more, I don’t need to hide that. I deserved that.

“But this is football, this is how it is. I am really happy now. What is gone is gone and I’m looking forward now. I just think I need to play and this is why I signed for Celtic.”

He never looked Premier League quality to be honest. Clearly the managers see players everyday in training, have trained hundreds of players over the years and clearly they didn’t like what they saw. Can’t see him setting the World alight anywhere but Celtic feels like a good fit for him

    Good riddance….

the title is almost as horrendous as the editing

Just to let you know-you don’t HAVE to read the site, don’t like it …..
Many of us are very busy people, but try to help other fans, and don’t always have as much time as we’d like, but you are lucky if you have nothing else to do in your life but pick faults in something you don’t even need to read, it’s says more about your life!!😉

Don’t blame him, how many good forwards have been wasted at our club over the years, you have to ask who scouted and signed him.

  • Russell Burke says:

West Ham have had a few Swiss players who turned out quite well. Pity Ajeti never got his chance. He should do well if given enough game time.
Imo he might’ve taken the Brentford bid presuming it was real and stayed in the capital.

I hope he does well and proves what poor management we have.

Sometimes, I read these comments and wonder if I’m really on a West Ham site. Some of the writers are so bitter and negative. COYI.

How can we really judge Ajeti when he had no opportunity to prove himself?? How many times have we bought a player, not played him, discounted him as no good then sold him off at a loss? As a business model this would make Lord Sugar go deathly white, point the famous finger towards our Board and say “You’re fired”.

  • Mills says:

To be fair it wasn’t much of a dig bearing in mind he didn’t get a decent chance, seems he was fairly polite about it

  • Innocuous Sparrow says:

It’s a fair comment from him. No one plays the game professionally if they have no belief in themselves so it’s an entirely reasonable reaction.

Good luck to him. It didn’t work out with us but we should wish him well.
