Allardyce breaks his silence on Bilic’s Irons

|

Allardyce hand to earSam Allardyce has broken a long term silence on West Ham and pulled no punches.

He reckons that the team are very poor at the back – an area of the team which recived his special attention when he was in charge.

And in doing so he has probably created divisions in the fan base where he was loved and hated in almost equal parts.

Allardyce took to the wavelengths of TalkSPORT to give his view on the Irons and reckons his former club are being punished for trying to play too expansively although perhaps he’s not been watching the same West Ham as me!

“The team has a great flair about it going forward,” he said. “But they don’t have defensive solidarity.

“They play an extremely open game and the defence on its own doesn’t seem to be able to keep the opposition out.

“I watched the Brighton game and I was stunned by the lack of defensive quality in the team.”

Made about wat Hong a different game to you ,/ us !!
But we don’t need telling that defensively we are pants , its as clear daylight for at least two seasons give or take half a season ?

That’s because we don’t play 9 defenders all the time like him and do try to play good football
He was just so successful bringing so many trophies wowing us with great attacking football
He brought some great stars to the club ( sorry can’t think of any )
United the fans with his great respect for us and club
    Missed him so much
Go away slug you took our club backwards and only fans that wanted to stay in the premier at all cost could have any love for this man
Bilic is as good as we are going to get he just needs to be told to give youth a chance play the only way this club knows how to play and get a fair shake from the officials
    Bring on the Gooners
    Then City away

Makes you wonder why his contract was not renewed, he was obviously a defensive master class! All those wins playing the solid defensive way, I must have missed some of those spankings we got! 5-1 v Reading or was it Ipswich I can’t recall, maybe Arsenal Man City.

It makes me wonder what I missed, especially listening to talk sport saying how Sam would be great for Everton! I can’t believe the top 4 do not have him! Sams better than Pochettino, Sam would not let a two goal slip like midweek.

Sam Really looks after his friends in the game that’s for sure.

The reason we needed Carvahlo was because we don’t have a decent defensive midfielder, and that was made ovious by Obiangs pathetic showing in that area ( yet again ).
Until we fill that role we will always be open to a counter-attack from a team playing with a packed defence. Even at set pieces he was pants.

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

He was on the pitch 10 minutes ish??? Carroll was on for 90 ?? His awareness and job role was non existent , pathetic for a highly rated saviour !! Obiang has better ratings than noble , kouyate , cresswell , fonts , and he’s coming back from injury as well , bit harsh on the lad , they are all out of sorts if truth be known ? As we all know ?? Obiang v Burnley was superb !

  • Michael Miller says:

I’m not one for disliking people but he’s the exception – a thoroughly dislikeable old Dinosaur, we were well rid off him!

  • bubs says:

Obiang and Kouyate only way forward for our club until injury
    Same as Rice and Oggy
Lanzini is the only great talent
It’s finding the right combo from there on
I would blood Holland on the left
Antonio on the right is a must
The Pea should be given first chance alongside Lanzini
    Just an old mans opinion
