Anderson returns to Brazil

|

Hammer Felipe Anderson has returned to his native Brazil on holiday now that his loan to FC Porto has completed.

He posted a video on Instagram of him driving next to a windswept Brazilian beach on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old has a disappointing loan spell in Portugal with just nine appearances and no game time after February this year.

He is set to return to east London after his holidays and due to report back to Rush Green in early July for testing and pre-season training.

FC Porto turned down an option to buy and now he must look for another club to guarantee game in his remaining contract with West Ham.

A move to Turkey is a possibility with Galatasaray mooted as a possible suitor but he is reported to prefer a return to Italy.

Anderson joined the Hammers from Lazio for £34m in July 2018 where he spent five years.

The Brazilian has made a total of 72 appearances for the Hammers, scoring 12 goals and registering 12 assists.
