Andre Gomes in Italy

|

West Ham transfer target Andre Gomes posted a photo of himself on Instagram at an airport with Ryan Air planes in the background leading to social media speculation that he had landed in the U.K at Stansted airport.

West Ham club insiders have confirmed Gomes is a main target this summer and they are closely following developments in the competition to sign him.

The Hammers saw a bid of £18m rejected while Barcelona are said to have quoted Everton a price of £30m to land the midfielder.

Spurs, Arsenal, Everton and West Ham have all been linked with the Barcelona player but no-one has closed a deal yet despite reports.

A club insider has told Claret and Hugh that the player is in Italy on holiday and the photo circulated on social media yesterday was not in the U.K

West Ham still has hopes of landing Pellegrini’s target but are not keen on paying the full £30m valuation and believe a deal can be done under that price.

I’m afraid he has already made Everton his destination sorry about that 🤨🤨

  • Roche says:

Strange, he’s been house hunting in Cheshire and the Wirral on Merseyside.

The press will say anything for a couple of lines of media attention. Can’t see us getting Gomes because if we were we would already have finalised a fee. In terms of career moves he could be managed by one of the great managers or Silva who is definitely not in that category. If MP really wanted him, I think we would have been hearing a lot more about it, shame because imho he is a really good player that would improve us but I trust MP to make the best decisions for the squad COYI !!!
