Antonio or Moses – the fans speak

|

michail-antonio-west-ham-stoke_3387473Victor Moses is available for the weekend game against Newcastle.

And as reported at ClaretandHugh that may give Slaven Bilic a headache in deciding whether to recall the Chelsea loan player for Michail Antonio who has been in outstanding form.

Members at the CandH site and on the Facebook forum at https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/ have been reacting and making their choices.

Here’s a selection of their comments.

O Antonio all day long, on current form. Bilic tends to ease players back in from injury so I would expect Moses to be on the bench.

O Why not play them both. Antonio has been the driving force the last few games. Let’s not overlook the fact It was Antonio’s effort in attack driving towards goal that won both the free kicks that we scored from in the last game. I would be tempted to put Moses and Antonio either side of Valencia in a 4-3-3 formation.

O Antonio for me! Moses cannot defend like Antonio , he cannot match his box to box graft !

O Antonio won both the free kicks we scored from at Bournemouth and seems to be growing in confidence every game, it should be his place to lose

O As far as I’m concerned, it’s no contest, Antonio all day long.

O I would play both with Valencia up top switching rolls now Carroll and Sakho are out with Payet just behind pulling the strings

Moses for me all day long. Antonio has a lot to improve on. However Moses and Antonio should be both in team for sat, my team for sat would be Adrian, tomks, Collins, Ogbanna, Cresswell, Kouyate, Obiang, Antonio, Payet, Moses, Valencia

Nice problem to have ! But i would stick with Antonio , he has earned the right to his place in the side for me .

My team to a man John but I think Noble will start instead of Obiang because Slav at the moment is standing by his captain, unless he leaves Moses on the bench and plays both Obiang and Noble,
Then he may want to stick with Jelavic as a natural CF
Which ever way he goes if they play their new midfielders Noble is going to have to up his work rate and cut out his passing errors,
We should still run out good winner ps by more then 1 goal

Can see the same line up as bournemouth with jelavic for carroll, cant see obiang being dropped as yet, been quality last 2games…. but would like to see valencia up top with zarate or moses taking valencias place on the wing.. both hot and cold though so who knows.!

The sooner Jelavic goes the better ! – How can we play him against Newcastle he is far to slow, Moses on with Antonio we need the pace up front to hit them on the break , if we try to play open attacking football against them we will come unstuck ( that’s what we did wrong at spurms ) all our top away wins ( Arsenal, Man C and The pool ++ ) came from solid defensive play with a seriously dangerous threat of speed and clinical finishing !
