Antonio’s incredible target

|

Mikey Antonio wants to retire at West Ham as we told you several months ago.

The man is heading towards legendary status after six years at the club and is hoping for sufficient years at the club to get a testimonial.

In reality  that’s not going to happen with such events seen very much as a thing of the past given the wages players now earn.

But his West Ham retirement  plan remains very much in place although on top of that he has set himself an incredibly ambitious goals target.

Currently he is on 54 Premier League goals and hopes he gets contract extensions which will help him reach 100 Premier League goals by the end of his career.

Big call but the man has been reaching his ambitions down the years and I for one wouldn’t bet against it even given pretty attractive odds no doubt.

“The last deal I signed before I signed this one I said I want to retire at West Ham and now I am 31 – 32 in two months – got another three-year deal, a nice little three-year deal to take me to 34 with the option of 35,” he told the Footballer’s Football Podcast.

“If I get that option that will take me to ten years at West Ham and hopefully I can get a testimonial.”

He added “I am trying to get to three digits to join that hundred club [100 Premier League goals], not many people have reached that.”
