Arnautovic/United update

|

West Ham are this morning insisting there’s been no contact from Manchester United over Marko Arnautovic.

Media reports and social media chat has been suggesting that a deal is in the offing after talks, on the one hand with Marko’s agent, and. on the other, with the club.

However, despite figures being bandied around of between £50 million and £75 million, the club claim there has been no contact from Jose Mourinho  or any other major figure at Old Trafford.

We were told categorically there had been “no inquiry, offer, agent contact or anything else” and that the Hammer of the Year is not for sale anyway.

However, should United eventually make a move and be ready to offer the striker a huge rise it would of course be next door to impossible to hold him.

However, there seems little question from our inquiries that at this stage the speculation is no more than that and the Hammers, meanwhile, are pursuing their own inquiries for players with Felipe Anderson the highest on their agenda at the moment.

After watching England last night, Mourinho doesn’t need to look any further than what he has already got? Thought Rashford played the role Arnie play’s for us quite adequately last night. And he was moved form an out side forward position to a more central forward position????

  • eastendexile says:

I think Arnie’s personality is such that he would rather be a big fish in a smaller pool than sit on his bottle at Old Trafford waiting for scraps because that is all he would get.

In the same way that is why Messi won’t come to West Ham ha ha

Yeah you look at what is happening to Rashford and Martial at Utd who would want to play for Mourinho up top, he is a rich mans Allardyce.

  • Plaistow Pundit says:

There is a large blockage to this speculation in the shape of Romelu Lukaku.
Will Arnie go to Manure to play second fiddle? Can he replace Lukaku? Will he challenge Rashford as the wide forward?
Why would Arnie give himself such problems (other than for the money).
I can’t see this one but it is a mad world.
