Arnie/Dec photo opportunity hardly means a transfer

|

Ok, we reported it earlier so this is very much a personal view but come on – Marko Arnautovic in a West Ham return. Really?

We’ve had Olivier Giroud touted at 34, and now it’s the turn of the former Stoke striker who betrayed us soon after signing a contract  to stay at the club to be linked with us again.

This is the bloke who hopped it to China where he has since scored 19 goals  in 40 games.

That in itself isn’t too bad but after a couple of years away  he’s been playing in a league a million miles inferior to the Premier League.

And that isn’t exactly what the Hammers need right now as we bid to maintain our progress in the PL and Europe.

Once again there’s no sell  on value for a player currently valued at £9 million via www.soccerbase.com. £9 million – REALLY?

All the chat has started up again – after it was seemingly put to bed a couple of weeks ago – when he, Dec and Jesse Lingard were pictured together after the game against Austria.

Well, frankly given that Dec and Arnie  both served and serve the same club it would be a surprise if they hadn’t taken a photo opportunity together after so long.

But for those getting carried away it’s as well to point out that such events don’t represent a likely transfer.

And at £9 million….err, don’t think so!

Relax Hugh I’ve located my ten foot barge pole and it’s ready for action! Him first or his brother?
