Any hopes that the Irons could snap up Alex Kral on a player plus cash deal have been nipped in the bud.
There has been much speculation that a seemingly outward-bound Hammer – Yarmo becoming a make weight the deal but that has now been clear it’s not going to happen.
It’s believed Kral will be on his way to the Hammers with some reports suggesting that a deal – including the Ukranian – could be done before the Euros although that is unlikely.
David Moyes rarely rushes any deal through and with Yarmo out of the picture anyway a switch could take longer regardless.
Kral – currently at Spartak Moscow – certainly hasn’t denied the possibility of a move which if it happens could well give the Irons a midfield to die for.
But Yarmo’s agent has made it clear that his client won’t be any part of the deal telling Zbirna such a deal would not take place.
He said: ” The option with the transfer of Andrey Yarmolenko to a Russian club cannot even be discussed. Period.”
The Hammers need to move the £115k a week on but Moscow is out!
Football commentators aren’t big on world politics are they? What with Russia currently being at war with Ukraine!
Exactly what came to mind. Yarmo wearing Kevlar while playing and living in protective custody the rest of the time.
