Arsenal bench drove Jenks “up the wall”

|

Carl Jenkinson admits sitting on the Arsenal bench “drove him up the wall.”

And with Arsene Wenger signing Mathieu Debuchy, he knew he had to get out of the Emirates by hook or by crook.

He told The Guardian: “I didn’t want to have another season sitting on the bench. It was starting to drive me up the wall a little bit, I wanted to get out and play football, and I’ve realised that I’m happiest when I’m playing regular football.”

ClaretandHugh reported earlier today however, sources at west Ham claiming his future remains very much in Arsenal’s hands.

We were told: “The decision really doesn’t belong to him – it’s all about what Arsenal decide.”
