Hmm, I’m in two minds. I know he needs game time to work on his play with Carroll, but I wouldn’t have minded seeing us start with Carroll and Fletcher (and put Martinez on the bench).

  • BrookingtoDevonshire says:

    With you Marko
I would of thought he had enough chances to shine and yesterday was below average .
Would rather he go and find form at the ANC,Martinez from the bench a better option

  • kennycandb says:

I thought Ayer was well below par against Leicester and I agree that Fletcher should start tomorrow night. I also agree Martin ezeparking should be on the bench – would love to have a look at him at this level. Hope Byram is given a chance and that Fernandez plays in place of Nobel. Probably none of this will happen though.

  • Stinger says:

Just our luck, he is a shockingly bad player, but worse, he is a very lazy player. I don’t think he will be here next season. (Fingers Crossed)

I agree about giving Fletcher a chance and the lad Martinez a spot on the bench.

I dont see the point in him does not do much and 20 mil they saw us coming we even get half that now

  • Big Tone says:

For heaven sake do some of our fans ever stop bagging all our players.I think today across sites the only players i havnt seen moaned about are Reid & Randolph.
I have seen the same supporters who never wanted to see Nordtveit in a West Ham shirt again two matches ago now saying he is a good option who is improving. The same with Feghouli.
Give them a chance to bed in to our team, playing style, systems.Jesus Christ…

    ‘Ayew given permission to play’.
    By whom, Slav?
Let’s hope so, because I’ve seen nothing from him…yet.

  • newtown says:

WhAt is our playing style ? Genuinely , I haven’t a clue . Long to Carroll to what end without a support striker ? We have been consistently wretched since last March , consistently slow starting , and I am sick of this . We will stay up this seAson , but I will be disgusted if Bilic gets a new contract .

    • GW says:

Slow starting? Doesn’t help that Captain Slow plays week in week out πŸ™‚

    • Stinger says:

Yeah lets get rid of the manager who just gave us our best season in 30 years. What was you expecting this season btw? We are in affect playing 38 away games, yet we are mid table and look like being no where near the drop. Not to mention our usual lengthy injury list.

Bilic’s Premier League record with us. 22 wins, 18 Draws, 17 losses. So you want to get a rid of a manager who has won more games than we have lost? Even got more draws than we have lost.

Personally I think he has done a fantastic job and has been a fantastic fit as our manager. He should be getting a 5 year contract extension, not have idiot fans saying get rid.

    • Colin Irons says:

Will be digusted if Bilic gets a new contract??
Yes great plan, bring in a new manager & within one season you can be disgusted by him as well.

    • Stratford E20 says:

Slow starting? Slow all the way through more like. I was hoping for better from Bilic. The win against Hull was welcome but we were so lucky and also so boring. People in our area of the stadium have accepted the stadium but are livid with the style of football.

      • Long Fella says:

Thats the trouble with you home onlys.Bunch of whingers.
You should have come to Anfield,The Liberty or even the King Power yesterday. No LIVID fans about on those away days!

        • GW says:

Well said mate been to all away games again this season and have loved every minute of it! πŸ™‚

        • essexclarets says:

that’s right. no one who goes to away games moans about anything do they…

there is no loyalty towards managers by some fans, win a few games & he is a footballing god with fantastic vision. Lose a few & the same fans are calling for his head saying he doesn’t know what he is doing.
On paper the summer signings should have made us stronger. hopefully things will be put right during the next four weeks & no panic signings on the last day

          • Long Fella says:

Sorry buddy but theres a big difference between a moan up & being livid.
Oh & for the record the atmosphere is always a million times better than at home,we go to have a good day out not sit there being miserable minge bags getting LIVID no matter what the result..

  • master says:

2 year extension at best. jury still out on transfer selections, team selections, tactics and player loyalty.

    • Colin Irons says:

I think the jury is permanently out on any football manager apart from possibly Conte as far as Chelsea fan are concerned while they ride high.
A few bad results & Wenger,Guardiola,Klopp,Pochettino,Mourinho all have some detractors.
You can put your money on a new manager arriving to takes Bilics place would have detractors within a few months.Maybe different fans but some fans would soon be on his case.
How many teams have a united fanbase where the manager is concerend. Its a pantomime.
