Bayern still hopeful

Bayern still hopeful for Declan Rice

Despite the general belief being that Declan Rice will be going to Arsenal, German giants Bayern Munich feel that they are still in the game.

A statement from the major German sports outlet Sport 1 says Bayern Munich are expecting ‘clarity in the next few days’ over Declan Rice, with the West Ham United star set to make a decision on his future quickly.

They also add that  there is still ‘lively contact’ between the clubs and the player over a possible move to Munich this summer.

They explain that Bayern are aware of financially strong competition from England and in particular Arsenal for Rice but are hopeful that he might end up at Säbener Straße regardless. Rice is more inclined to remain in England at this point, but the 24-year-old was ‘impressed’ during previous talks with Bayern, as well as Thomas Tuchel’s plans for him.

Thus, the West Ham star is yet to fully cancel a potential move to Bayern despite those claims to the contrary.

He’s set to provide ‘clarity in the next few days’ on the subject of his future, presumably when he is finished celebrating West Ham’s win in the Europa Conference League.

If Rice gives Bayern the green light for a transfer, they ‘will do everything’ they can to get him.

Those in charge at the club want to fulfil Tuchel’s wish to sign the player and would be willing to pay the €100m that West Ham are demanding.

It would be even better for the Hammers if Declan would provide CLARETY in the next few days on the subject of his future, and stay at West Ham!
