Winston Reid and James Collins have both been given a clean bill of health by the West Ham medical staff and along with Diafra Sakho should be available for inclusion in the squad for Spurs.
Head of Medical and Sports Science, Stijn Vandenbroucke, reports in his latest update that the trio have been given the all-clear for the weekend.
He said: “Both should be available. Ginge has come through his rehab after being withdrawn from the Wales squad with a calf injury, while Winston missed the Stoke City game and was not able to go away to play for New Zealand due to injury.”
He added that Arthur Masuaku is in his first week of full training with the PL2 squad after rehabbing from his knee injury and he will join the first-team squad next week and that Andy Carroll is also progressing with his rehab and trained with the PL2 squad this week.
He aso reported: “Sam Byram is running on the pitch now following his hamstring injury. Sam is progressing well and working hard on his rehab.
“Reece Oxford has entered a new phase of rehab from his knee injury. Reece has now had the brace removed from his leg and is full weight-bearing. He will take the next step in his rehab soon.
Gokhan Tore is at the end of his rehab and will join training next week.”
And Mr Gold’s statement of Sakho and Carroll being back after the international break is again in question.
Sakho probably on bench but again no date for the joke Carroll. Will we ever see this man play football again? £90k a week.
The owners would be privately fuming over the hefty salary of the injury prone Carroll. My suspicion is that they are hoping against hope to get him on the pitch sooner than later to offload him in January. Imho.
