Big day for Irons defender as Fab hopes rise

|

Hopes are high that Lukasz Fabianski will be available for his first game since breaking down at Bournemouth on September 28 against Leicester City at the London Stadium this evening (Sat).

It was predicted a few days ago from insiders that the Hammer of the Year was likely to return for this game and with David Martin still apparently unavailable all fingers are now firmly crossed that Manuel Pellegrini will decide -on advice from the medical staff –  he is now ready.

Fab is understood to be in the squad along with Roberto and Joseph Ananag with a decision set to be taken closer to kick off.

Manuel Pellegrini has named an original  squad of 20 – with two to be excluded – and we understand that Winston Reid was involved in it for the first time in two years along with Nathan Holland.

It’s a great day for Winston to be named in a squad which seriously needs to get something from today’s game if  Pellegrini doesn’t finally find himself in Last Chance Saloon against Bournemouth on New Year’s Day.

Mark Noble is set to play and the view of most insiders is that Robert Snodgrass is likely to continue as the attacking midfielder.

We can’t seriously be thinking that West Hams woes are down to one player and or Goalkeeper . That speaks volumes for the ineptitude of Pelligrini . Get Rid of Him Now. , today , win or lose .

    What a mess.

  • Schekmal says:

We have problems all over the pitch, but the real issue here is the tactics and lack any backbone. If we get relegated it will be because of the board’s indecisiveness in replacing Pellegrini. Can anyone really see him turning it around?

I would counter the threat of Jamie Vardy by playing three at the back 3-5-2
    Fab
    Balbuena Diop Ogbonna

    Fredericks Rice Noble Fornals Masuaku

    Haller Antonio

It would be nice to see Winston and Holland come off the bench

  • Del PE. says:

Agree 100% Kevin… Enough is enough… MP out with his so called “support” team.
Leicester on a horrible run LOL… Losses to Man Citeh and Liverpool for pity sake… Yea would really fancy us “pedestrians” against those two sides..
    Roberto, Zabaletta, Masuaka, Sanchez, Will”****e”
    Reid, Ajeti, Fredericks, Cresswell, Martin, Yarmelenko…. O U T…
Sell one of Lanzini or Anderson for 30 € m and invest in pace…
Sell Diop for 40 € m for that matter as well…
    Mmmm anybody left… 🤔😅

COYI… Phew… Tough to take ake at present..

    • Optimism not allowed over here LOL

I actually would sell Lanzini but £30m is cheap. He doesn’t produce enough and hasn’t for a long time. Cullen in for Noble who could mentor him as future captain material. Sell Yarmolenko too and promote Holland shifting Anderson to the right. Put Formals up with Haller and Antonio and play 3 at the back, not selling any defenders. Dream Team!!

That team selection is quite something.Has desperate manager close to the sack written all over it.Has just thrown a lot of players who have barely played for weeks in there and is just praying something clicks as his time runs down at the club.Sums him up this season as he just cannot find an answer to halting this awful run. Will claim its to rest players but it stinks of desperation.
