Bilic eyes Argentine playmaker

manuel-lanzini-pictures-1The Irons have been reported as having made a move for Argentine playmaker Manuel Lanzini currently playing for the Al Jazira club in the United Arab Emirates.

According to the Mirror we are seeking a loan deal for next season with an option to buy if he impresses at Upton Park.

Formerly with River Plate, Lanzini, is seen as a possible addition to a squad which Slaven Bilic believes deepening and his skilful, dribbling style would suit the style of play that new manager wants to bring to the Boleyn.

Bilic has also reportedly asked the two Davids to try bringing  Roma striker Mattia Destro to the club in what would be another loan deal.

  1. Sounds an exciting player but you’d have to wonder why he’s playing in the UAE

  2. For the same reason there are & were many top brazilians playing in Russia & the Ukraine. The wonger 😀

  3. All sounds rather Bad for Noble … We could see him leaving in the winter window .
Crying shame , but it looks inevitable .

  4. Yes Kevin,he could well struggle for a regular start this season i think. But it is the cost of progression.I always feel sorry for the player in a Championship team who get promoted to The Premiership. They work their knackers off for 46 matches, get the team into The Prem & then often lose their places to a new, better signing or get sold.It s a cruel world, lol

  5. Noble has his place in the rotation. Can’t have all flair. Industry and Passion count for tons – especially to get the 12th man going for atmosphere. Nope, for me, Noble is West Ham is Noble. (oh, and I bet even Stats Till I Die would align…)

  6. Personally i think he will still have a part to play, could be a long hard season. You need players like Noble about when the season gets tough & tiring for some.He will keep going forever 😉

  7. For Noble to get in the team we are going to have a lot of injury problems,
If the lads cost nada let’s give him a go but personally I would like to see more of Callum,
What happened to the loan deal for the From Barca ?
