Bilic: “We deserved to win”

|

BilicSlaven Bilic admitted that although the performance left something to be desired the Hammers deserved to win a low quality affair against Sunderland.

The boss declared: “They played some nice football in the second half but we hit the post twice and deserved to win the game.

“We didn’t play great and I told them at half time. We we really up for it -maybe it was the early kick off but we were flat. Not completely but a little bit.

“We were sloppy at times and it’s never certain if you don’t get the second goal but we certainly deserved to win the game.”

For today i couldnt care how we played.Wanted Hippo to go back home with zero points.Thats enough for me.Will leave the Wetpants experts to grumble as usual about the performance.Im sure they could have managed or played better.

We did enough against a poor side that came for 1 point, they neverlookedlike scoring,Carroll should have scored but hit the woodwork Noble hit a great shot but woodwork helped BFS again,There keeper made a good save from Antonio also,
At the other end a fluke Miss kick hit the bar and 1 save from Adrien but not a lot more,
No we weren’t great but the wind made it hard to play good football,
We did enough and Slav is right the best team won,
Sorry you Green fans you will be getting bored to death every week, best to go down regroup find a young manager who wants to play football and come back happy

winning ugly is what successful teams need to do sometimes, and we did it very well ty Sam lol.
We deserved it because we scored 1 goal and they scored none. simple as that.

It was, as I posted, a game that could so easily have turned into a huge disappointment with a golden opportunity let slip away.
Fortunately, the WH of today has an iron core it never had before

Poor performance for me , we can’t play like that against Spurs .The 3 points are good but that could so easily have been the result most West Ham fans were dreading . Phew !

Listen its true what you say but Leicester won today 1-0 will 3 shots on target. The assesment of them after the game from pundits & the like- Its what good teams do when they aint at their best. They find a way to win.
It is spot on & we shouldnt be so hard on our guys,we aint Madrid or Barcelona, sometimes we need to dig out results.I know in previous years we would have let slip a game like today so i will take it.COYI.
