Slaven Bilic claims reports which claim say Simone Zaza could be sent back to Juventus in January to avoid a permanent deal are false.
The Juventus striker is on a seasonlong loan at a cost of €5m with an option to buy for another €20m if he plays 14 appearances.
Bilic was asked in a Press conference yesterday if there was any truth in rumour Zaza’s loan could be cut short.
“This one is false. He’s our player, we got him, he’s here. He’s training good and we expect him to do the job.
“I have to make a decision on Zaza over Saturday. That is the only decision I am thinking about: the game against Palace.
“The only thing I am thinking about Saturday is not about the situation in his contract or around his contract but is he going to be the one I will put at centre-forward? The only objective is: can he do it against Palace?”
I think the owners will have something to say about this and not Bilic if he fails to materialize.
Well here’s hoping that Slav has seen something which the rest of us haven’t, and that Zaza is capable of delivering on his £25m price-tag! Starting today.
That missing poster is spot on – Zaza has done nothing to justify a starting place and is just making up the numbers – I suspect Bilic won’t be the one that decides on Zaza’s future and would be surprised if Zaza reaches those 14 appearances!
I think the club did something along those lines with Alex Song when it was thought he wasn’t a viable investment.I expect Zaza will be left off the team sheet before Christmas.
What is it with fans always wanting to slag players off.Ok he hasnt delivered yet maybe he wont who knows.
Is it just far easier to slag someone off rather than offer some encouragement or hope they can turn their form around.It don’t help with stupid bloody posters like this.
