Bookies have faith in Slaven Bilic

|

Frustrated SlavSlaven Bilic is a bookies outsider to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job.  Bookmakers Paddy Power are offering a generous 14/1 as the next manager to get the sack.

Unsurprisingly bottom of the table Swansea boss Bob Bradley is the the 2/1 favourite to get the sack followed by Sunderland gaffer David Moyes at 3/1.

Palace’s Alan Pardew and Hull City’s Mike Phelan are both 7/2 to get the boot.

The Daily Telegraph  ran a report  that claimed “West Ham chiefs have started to consider their options should they feel forced to make a change with Eddie Howe, Roberto Mancini, Rudi Garcia and Rafa Benitez all admired within the club.”

As we reported earlier this speculation was immediately dismissed by our regular insiders when we put the story to them. We were told “The matter has never been raised – everybody is backing Slaven and ready to give him what he needs in the transfer window. It’s hardly surprising these stories emerge at times like this but let’s be honest, they are pretty easy to write when a club in is this sort of position. We soldier on”

You are exactly what is wrong with football today. Manager comes and out of nowhere gives us the best points tally we’ve ever had, some of the best players we’ve seen in a long time, looks at getting some depth in the squad to deal with the additional European games he’s earned us, and then due to an inevitable dip in form, you’re looking to flog him off and go for the next best option because unfortunately a couple of his ideas for decent cheap players haven’t paid off, and the fact they were free/on loan ie meaning not much of a financial burden were they to not work out and have to leave, is something you appear to be very much oblivious to. Give the man a chance Jesus Christ. Appalling to see these ‘fans’ showing no respect towards the club

I give up with some of our so called fans. Rudy Garcia FFS just support the man we’ve got in charge and who took us to 7th after 3 years of suffering the odious slug and his anti football.

Keep the Faith. He will turn things around. Its been a very turbulent few months for the club which has not been helped admittedly by some terrible signings in the Summer but the core of the squad is the same as last season.Yes we need a class striker(have done for years now) and cover at RB.Time maybe to remove the cotton wool from Oxford and start introducing Fletcher and Browne too.

Ok , salesb ; so apparently you are happy with things as they are !!.
Yes we have had a fistful of injuries but , bad signings , bad decisions , bad tactics and lack of knowhow is costing us very dear .
When rival teams need a few points they don’t worry too much because Thier next game is West Ham United ,, that’s sad but , true .
If the club is looking for a replacement manager then I hope they find one soon .
Slaven Bilic was never the clubs number one choice to start with and , past players with some affiliation to the fans does not a manager make .
Just why an ” inevitable drop in form ” ! , words escape me . ( what form are we talking about exactly) ? .
Now the club is reportedly looking to offload the deadwood that it signed ( thanks to Bilic )
In an attempt to rebuild the team that should have been reduilt and ready for this season to begin with . And with Europe in mind .. it was and still is Embarrassing .
Something needs addressing very soon ( players & manager alike ) before our new “fantastic stadium” becomes a second division venue . … as a supporter of 65yrs of age I feel I am entitled to complain a lot .

    • Stinger says:

No way are you a supporter of 65 years. If you were then you would get what being a West Ham fan is about and therefore would be backing the manager who gave us our best season in 30 years.

  • Stinger says:

Personally I hope Bilic is offered a new contract. If we do get relegated then so what. Been there and done that. Who follows West Ham based on what division we are in anyway.

Stay up, get relegated? Stick with Bilic and give him a new contract. He at present is about the only positive thing at our club.
