Brady’s striker reference but Irons study injury record

|

daniel-sturridge-danny-liverpool-manchester-united-premier-league_3001952Karren Brady has revealed  she believes Daniel Sturridge is a “wonderful player.”

And that will immediately stoke up stronger rumours that the Liverpool and England hitman could be on his way to the Hammers in the January window.

However ClaretandHugh can reveal that whilst there is an interest, the club remain very worried about the player’s injury record and have no intention of “carrying another striker.”

A source told us this evening: “There’s an interest. That’s probably well known by now but we have had so many long term injuries with strikers we would have to think very seriously and carefully about this one. ”

With a fee of between £20m- £25 million involved the Irons are determined to get value for money and will go hell for leater in a bid to get the price down on the basis of hs injury record should serious talks develop.”

Brady was quoted in the Sun as saying:I think Sturridge is a wonderful player but even I could recognise Vardy’s value on the counter-attack. (in the international against Spain)”

“Maybe Gareth Southgate might favour Vardy in many circumstances, just like Jurgen Klopp prefers others at Liverpool. Sturridge must keep believing class will tell,” she added.

If you are injury prone West Ham is the last club to sign for . Our history of nursing players back to full fitness is abysmal . Definitely something wrong with the backroom staff and it’s system . One only needs to look at the Carroll problem . Pretty sure other clubs would have had him up and running a long while back .
The Club is in Turmoil . Poor physical conditioning , poor decisions , poor signings and a poor outlook for the future . The move to the Then , Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium now the LS was a must for the number of supporters West Ham have but , poor behind the scenes activities have dragged us down .
It’s getting pretty desperate now and needs sorting professionally .
You can’t be in a massive stadium and perform the way we are performing . It don’t work .
