Brooking, Peters & Hurst join Payet & Moore at OS

|

Large 4 metre wide Claret and Blue shirts of West Ham Legends of Sir Trevor Brooking, Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters have been installed at the former Olympic Stadium this week to join existing shirts featuring the names of Bobby Moore and Dimitri Payet.

A large pair of crossed Hammers has also been installed as the ‘WestHamification’ continues ahead of the Hammers moving in date in August.

According to the London Stadium’s official Instagram page the Hammers club megastore will welcome guests in the next few days. The stadium owners posted a photo of the West Ham megastore with the caption Final makeup touch and we will be ready to welcome guests in a few days”

Meanwhile the stadium is just one week away from it’s first event of the year when rock band AC/DC will perform at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s Stadium on Saturday 4th June 2016 as part of the European leg of their ‘Rock or Bust’ tour.

Let me first say that I think the world of Payet, he’s a top player, my favourite one. But seeing these legends (Brooking, Bonds, Moore, Hurst, Peters), maybe it’s too soon for Dimi’s giant shirt. Di Canio, Dicks and many others deserve it too IMHO 😉

It does seem a bit previous having him up amongst these other names.Maybe they wanted one of our current squad represented or maybe it is a cunning plan to make him feel like a hero already.

the posters of Bobby Moore at Bobby Moore stand & the Trevor Brooking 1 at the Trevor Brooking stand would look better at the OS rather than shirts with name & number on them that way we would see all the legends in pic form in different kits over the years just a thought
