Calamity Kehrer slammed after nightmare

|

West Ham’s and Germany’s Thilo Kehrer was given dreadful reviews after he was subbed in the game against Spain which resulted in a 1-1 last night.

And according to Hammers News Spain targeted Kehrer as a weak point as Spain consistently pressuring down his side.

He was booked for a scissor action foul from behind in the middle of the pitch with his Spanish opponent allegedly going nowhere and was at fault for the opening goal.

He then he failed to close down Dani Olmo out wide allowing a  cross into the box which was nicely finished by Alvaro Morata.

Later the defender was out of position as Spain almost made it 2-0. He may have escaped on that occasion but not the wrath of leading German football website Get German Football News  who have him a three out of ten rating.

He was also described as ‘woeful’ by Matchday 365 who revealed he has made FIVE errors which have directly resulted in goals for the opposition since joining West Ham – the most in the Premier League.

Claretandhugh says: It will come as no surprise to many Hammers fans that Kherer was found out in last night’s game as he and Emerson have looked particularly poor summer signings. He was marginally better as a central defender when used in the position but his [performances at right back have been less than mediocre and the way surely seems open for as Vladi Coufal return at Arsenal. Sadly, Kehrer is looking a very poor signing at £10 million.

When I first saw him at right-back I thought he was very good, but as time has gone on he’s repatedly dropped goolies and is a really struggling. His performances for Germany have been less than inspring! 😳

It’s ironic that for years people have been going on about left-back being the problem position, but now it’s turned out that right-back is the problem – with Johnson not kicking on, Coufal not being the same player after his injury, and now with Kehrer’s tribulations – it’s a funny old game! 😉
